Richard ELY 
Richard was born on June 28th, 1765 in North Bristol, Connecticut.1 Richard's father was Richard ELY and his mother was Jerusha SHELDON. His paternal grandparents were Richard ELY and Phebe HUBBARD. He was an only child. He died at the age of 50 on April 27th, 1816 in Chester, Connecticut.2 2 General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: Graduated from Yale College in 1758. Studied medicine withDr. John Noyes of Lyme, Connecticut. Began his practice in North Killingworth, Connectictut. Later practiced in Centre Brook and Chester, Connecticut. He was tresurer of the Connecticut Medical Society the last three years of his life.
DEATH: Overwork and exposure.
BIRTH: North Bristol is now North Madison.
