Charles Clinton was born in 1857 in Rappahannock Co., VA.. Charles Clinton's father was Benjamin Franklin EASTMAN and his mother was Lucy Elizabeth BROWNING. His maternal grandparents were John Dabney BROWNING Jr. and Mary Routt DULANEY. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert Woodford., F. Dabney, Philip Byrd, William Braxton., John Routt, Edwin Lawson, George B., Emma Chapman, Annie May and Ada Virginia. He was the youngest of the eleven children.-
