Thomas Despain 
Thomas was born on March 19th, 1815 in , Green, Kentucky. Thomas' father was Peter DeSpain and his mother was Nancy Skaggs. His paternal grandparents were John Despain and Susan Scott. He had eleven brothers and three sisters, named John, Marshall, Hiram, Mark, Stephen, Harrison, Edmond, Silas, James, William Joseph, William Perry, Susanna Elizabeth, Drury and Nancy. He was the third youngest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 65 on August 29th, 1880 in Butler, Bates, Missouri.General Notes
