Nancy Caroline Despain 
Nancy Caroline was born in 1833 in Crittenden Co, AR. Nancy Caroline's father was Samuel M Despain and her mother was Celia Despain. Her paternal grandparents were James Despain and Margaret Matthews. She had a brother named James P. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 27 in 1860 in Crittenden Co, AR.General Notes
There was a marriage of James Lloyd, 24, of Crittenden Co, AR to Nancy Spain, 24, of Crittenden Co, AR by Jacob Hopper on 12 Jul 1857. It has now been proven that this is a daughter of Samuel and Celia DeSpain. As James Lloyd married again in 1860, it is assumed that Nancy died soon after the marriage possibly in childbirth.
