Millie was born in 1849 in Edmonson, Kentucky, USA.1 Millie's father was Thomas Dennizen and her mother was Martha. Her paternal grandparents were Zachariah Dennison and Millie Phillips. She had four brothers and five sisters, named James, Zachariah, John, Edward, Mary, Rachael, Kizziah, Jane and Martha Jane. She was the youngest of the ten children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Sherman, Jacob, Robert, Sarah E and Matilda.-
