John was born about 1445 in Hornby, Yorkshire, England.1 John's father was John Conyers of Hornby and his mother was Margery Darcy dau of Philip Darcy, 6th Lord. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Conyers and Ellen Rolleston; his maternal grandparents were 6th Baron Darcy of Knaith Philip Darcy and Eleanor Fitzhugh. He had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Eleanor and Alice. He died on July 26th, 1469 in Hedgecote Field, Oxfordshire, England.1 General Notes
