William COURTENAY 
William was born in 1543 in Of Powderham, Devonshire.1 William's father was William COURTENAY and his mother was Elizabeth PAULET. His paternal grandparents were George COURTENAY and Catherine ST. LEGER. He had a sister named Jane. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 87 on June 24th, 1630. He was buried in Powderham Castle, Devon.1 1 General Notes
