William Harvey CLEMONS 
William Harvey was born on October 20th, 1895 in Indian Territory (now OK).1 William Harvey's father was Frank CLEMENT and his mother was Elizabeth Clementine Lida DICKEY. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Harvey CLEMENT and Letha Ann FERGESON. He had a brother named Jeptambling. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 89 on December 16th, 1984 in Pauls Valley, Garvin Co. OK. He was buried in Mt. Olivet Cementery, Pauls Valley, Garvin Co. OK.2 3 General Notes
After the death of his father, Harvey William's mother, Eliza, married Andrew J. Gage January 24, 1906, in Elmore City, Garvin Go., OK.
1910 Garvin Co. Census, living in Elmore City: Andrew Gage 42, Lida Gage 38, Harvey Gage (should be Clement) 15, Jep Gage (should be Clement) 13, Warner (should be Warren) Gage 2, May Gage 1 month.
1920 Garvin Co. OK Census, living at Pauls Valley: Andrew J. Gage 51, Lida Gage 48, Harvey W. Clemiceus (should be Clement) 25, Jep T. Clemeiceus (should be Clement) 23, Warner (should be Warren) Gage 12, May Gage 9, John Gage 6. , Jennie Cargile 69 (listed as Andrew Gage's mother-in-law).
The spelling of the family surname of Harvey William Clement, was changed to Clemons sometime after his mother married Andrew Gage. The probable reason for this is that John and William Clement, the two sons of Lucinda Gage Clement who had gone to Garvin Co. OK before statehood and became U. S. Marshals, changed the spelling of their surname from Clement to Clemons. When Lucinda's nephew, Andrew Gage married the widowed mother of Harvey William Clement, he was very young and probably thought that Clemons was the correct spelling for his name, and thus, Clement became Clemons.
I found a website on Ancestry.com that was tracing the Dickey family and found information about the family of Elizabeth Catherine Lida Dickey and thus information about her five children - her two sons by her first husband, Frank Clement, and her three children by her second husband, Andrew Gage.
According to that information, Harvey William Clemons died in Pauls Valley in February 25,1933, which is also the same date listed as the date of death for his mother. I don't know if this is a mistake, or if they actually died the same day. It is an interesting fact that needs to be explored.
I did not find a census record for Harvey William Clemons for 1930. I did find a marriage record for him in the Garvin Co. OK marriage records. He married Cleo Harvell April 19, 1920.
