Sarah Jane was born in July 1860 in , , Arkansas, USA.1 Sarah Jane's father was Benjamin Earl Bishop and her mother was Naomi Jane Shipley. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin SHIPLEY and Sarah "Sally" BURKETT. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Jeston, John Henry, Emps William Carroll, Richard B., Melinda and Nancy Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 75 on July 25th, 1935 in Belton, Bell County, Texas, USA. She was buried on July 26th, 1935 in McDowell Cemetery, Belton, Bell County, Texas, USA.2 2 General Notes
