James F.'s father was Burley Wilson Bean and his mother was Julia Katherine Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Lawrence E. 'Tosh' Roberts and Elizabeth 'Betty' Shreve. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Robert Wilson, Lawrence Clearston, Raymond Odell, Burley Wilson, Infant Daughter and Julia Katherine.General Notes
