John Leonidas Barbee 
John Leonidas was born on November 16th, 1878 in Wake Co, NC and his baptism took place in Death Fact. John Leonidas' father was Francis Marion E. Barbee and his mother was Medora Alice Norwood. His paternal grandparents were John Barbee and Sally Roberts. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Caleb M., Samuel 'Sam' Jones, Luther G., A. C. Ernest, Hattie Emily and Alice Lee. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 46 on September 6th, 1925 in Durham, Durham Co, NC. He was buried on September 7th, 1925 in Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, Durham Co, NC.General Notes
