Sophia BUCKLES 
Sophia was born about 1852 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Sophia's father was Aaron Buckles and her mother was Rachel MERIT. Her paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Augustine Gustavus, Joseph M., James Merit, John, D. Ephraim, Aaron, Henry F. and Susannah. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Asa W., Elizabeth and Mary.-
