Mattie F. was born in February 1889 in Blue Springs, MO.. Mattie F.'s father was Harrison Oliver BROWNING and her mother was Martha Matilda PURDUE. Her paternal grandparents were William Toliver BROWNING and Elizabeth Jane MILLER. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Roger P., Irving Knox, Jesse Harrison, Christopher Dwight, Chester Leroy, Flora Neta, Eva Larue and Talitha. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 1 in 1890.-
