King Bela (The Holy) Arpad of Hungary I

Bela, known as The Holy, was born in 1015 in Esztergom, Komaron-Esztergom, Hungary.¹ The Holy's father was Vazul Arpad of Hungary and his mother was Katun of Bulgaria. His paternal grandparents were Prince Michael Arpad and Princess Adelajda (The White) Piast; his maternal grandparents were Tsar Samuel Comitopuli of Bulgaria and Agatha Chryselios. He had three brothers named Andras, Damoslo and Levente. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 48 in December 1063 in Nyitra, Hungary.²
