Joseph Allen 
Joseph was born in 1800 in Washington or Nelson Co., Kentucky.1 Joseph's father was William Allen and his mother was Mary Rollison. His maternal grandparents were James Rollison and Eleanor Ambrose. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Martin, Elijah, William, Robert, David, Mary, Rachel and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 56 on December 22nd, 1856 in Marion Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
