Cassie Truman was born in 1914 in LaRue County, Ky. Cassie Truman's father was Elijah B. 'Bee' Allen and her mother was Mary Jane Underwood. Her maternal grandparents were George W. Underwood and Julia A. Hazelwood. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Leander 'Lee' A., Orville K., William Curtis, Roxie Ermine, Lucinda and Nellie Mae. She was the youngest of the seven children. She had a half-brother named Chris Uriah 'Bud'. She died at the age of 41 in 1955 in Jefferson County, Ky.-
