Alta was born in November 1892 in Jefferson Co, IL and her baptism took place in Census 1900. Alta's father was Howard Allen and her mother was Cyrene Melvina Hopkins. Her maternal grandparents were James H. Hopkins and Euphamia Pearson Wall. She had a sister named Beulah. She was the younger of the two children.General Notes
