Robert Nelson APPLEGATE 
Robert Nelson was born on November 1st, 1850 in Mason Co., Kentucky.1 Robert Nelson's father was Basil Burris APPLEGATE and his mother was Elizabeth Ann BATEMAN. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin APPLEGATE and Hannah PETERS. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Basil Webster, Jerome Bonaparte, Mary, Martha Ann, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah Dell and Cynthia Ann. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 on July 4th, 1927 in Flemingsburg, Mason Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
