Sarah Elizabeth was born on June 24th, 1846 in Granville Co, NC.1   Sarah Elizabeth's father was Presley Roberts and her mother was Nancy Booth Jenkins.  Her paternal grandparents were James T. Roberts and Rebecca Jones. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named James Marion, William Salathiel, Wesley Eaton, Alexander Goodman, Erastus Hugh, Presley Quick, Thomas Cook, Havana Victoria, Louisa Ellen, Nora Irving and Nancy Lewis.  She was the third oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 40 on July 26th, 1886.1
