Chester H. was born in June 1896 in Carroll Co, TN.1   Chester H.'s father was James W. Roberts and his mother was Corneila J. Unknown.  His paternal grandparents were Marvin Monroe Roberts and Elizabeth W. Unknown. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John W., Floyd, Samuel, Virgil, Lester, Hester P. and Beulah.  He was the oldest of the eight children.1
