Charlie Wesley was born on July 9th, 1888 in Orange Co, NC.1   Charlie Wesley's father was Francis 'Frank' Albert Roberts and his mother was Elizabeth 'Bette' Ann Crabtree.  His paternal grandparents were James H. Roberts and Jane Carrington. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Eugene Cauncy, William Thomas, George Cain, Chester Francis, Allen Elbert, Clyde, Mamie Mary, Rosa Lee, Annie Viola and Myra Caviness.  He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 80 on November 13th, 1968 in Hillsborough, Orange Co, NC.  He was buried on November 15th, 1968 in New Sharon Methodist Church Cemetery, Hillsborough, Orange Co, NC.1
