Samuel Clyde was born on May 16th, 1897 in Stanly Co, NC.1   Samuel Clyde's father was Thomas L. Miller and his mother was Mary E. Roberts.  His maternal grandparents were William Roberts and Nannie H. Unknown. He had two brothers named Wade A. and George F..  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 75 on October 31st, 1972 in Albemarle, Stanly Co, NC.  He was buried on November 1st, 1972 in Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Albemarle, Stanly Co, NC.1
