Mabel Carpenter

Mabel was born in 1901 in Durham Co, NC. Mabel's father was Adolphus Marcellus Carpenter and her mother was Sarah Jane Barbee. Her maternal grandparents were John Wesley Barbee and Kittie Louisa Rigsbee. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Jesse Thomas, Adolphus Wesley, Mary Elizabeth and Theresa. She was the second oldest of the five children.
