Anna Pearl's first husband,Henry Jennings, died in an accident. Anna Pearl's second husband, Dr. Gordon Best, attended Anna Pearl's father, William Edwin McConnell, during his final illness. There were no children with Dr. Best.

She died peacefully from leukemia and also pneumonia. She is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
