Lydia was born on April 20th, 1766 in Effingham Co., GA.1   Lydia's father was Lucas Zeigler and her mother was Salome Zettler.  Her paternal grandparents were John Michael Zeigler and Agnesia Unknown. She had two sisters named Agnesia and Salome. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George, Solomon, John, Israel, Anna, Abigail and Margaret.1
