Martha Yerke 
Martha was born on June 28th, 1882 in Lansing, Ingham Co, Michigan.1 Martha's father was William Yerke and her mother was Maria Hoppe. Her maternal grandparents were Ludwig Hoppe and Wilhelmine Maussau. She had six brothers and a sister, named Herman Friedrich Wilhelm, Harry, Carl Ludwig, Johann Emil, Emil Benjamin, Adolph and Bertha. She was the third oldest of the eight children.1 -
