William was born in Little Compton, RI.1   William's father was Samuel Wilbor and his mother was Mary Potter.  His paternal grandparents were William Wilbor and Martha. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Abial, Isaac, Martha, Mary, Joanna, Thankful, Elizabeth and Hannah.  He died in September 1774 in Little Compton, RI.1
