CLAREMONT - Cecelia Lapine, 75, of 130 Pleasant St. died yesterday morning at the Valley Regional Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Northfield, VT, on April 28, 1913, daughter of Henry Ray and Mary Agnes (Bingham) White. She had lived in Claremont for 35 years and previously had lived in Windsor.
Mrs. Lapine worked as a house cleaner for several years. She was a member of the St. Francis Church Catholic Daughters in Windsor.
The family includes her husband, Henry L. Lapine, of Claremont; one sone, Gary Jay Lapine of Claremont; five brothers, Walter White of Bethel, Fred White of Randolph, Henry White of Rochester, VT, Calvin White of Greenfield, MA, and Robert White of Nevada; three sisters, Gertrude Wheelen of Keene, and Jesse Hall and Beulah Cogley, both of Rochester, VT; five grandchildren, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several neices and nephews.
She was predeceasedby a son, Edmund F. Cushman, formerly of Bellows Falls, VT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:30 in St. Mary Church. Interment will be at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery in Windsor. Friends may call at the McCusker-Stringer Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.
