Daniel was born on October 2nd, 1732.1   Daniel's father was Samuel Watson and his mother was Margarette Gray.  His paternal grandparents were William Watson and Mary Orr. He had five brothers and a sister, named Samuel, John, Matthew, Johnson, Benjamin and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.1
