George A. was born on May 5th, 1885 in Jefferson Co., GA.1 George A.'s father was John Eli Watkins and his mother was Isabella Drucilla Wilson. His paternal grandparents were Silas Watkins and Celia Fokes; his maternal grandparents were Eli Wesley Wilson and Sarah Jane Davis. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Charles H., John Wesley, Alphus W., Fred S., Vienna Elizabeth, Elizabeth Louella, Estella, Lillie B., Fannie Jane, Mary Lou and Martha V.. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 47 on May 3rd, 1933 in Baldwin Co., GA.1 General Notes
