William was born in 1894.1   William's father was Edward Charles Ward and his mother was Clarisse Morel.  His paternal grandparents were James Ward and Nellie Sawyer; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Morel and Darahphine Michaud. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Amos, John Ernest, Mary, Margaret and Alice.  He was the youngest of the seven children.  He died in 1894.  He was buried in Franklin, NH.1 1
