In 1650, at the age of about 20, Paul Vachon, crossed the Atlantic for Canada, In 1654, he helped to build the chapel and some sick wards of the Hotel Dieu in QUebec. Pual was given a concession in the Town of Fargy in the Seigneurie of Beauport on June 14, 1655. On December 29, 1664, the concession was doubled. The land continued to grow in size. Paul sold his farm on September 14, 1678.
