Tirzah was born about 1673 in Milford, New Haven, CT.1   Tirzah's father was William Tyler and her mother was Abigail Terrell.  Her maternal grandparents were Roger Terrell and Abigail Ufford. She had four brothers and six sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Ephraim, Mary, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sarah, Hannah and Ruth.  She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.1
