Hugh was born about 1674.1   Hugh's father was Lewis Tucker and his mother was Sarah Gunnison.  His paternal grandparents were William Tucker and Grace; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Gunnison and Sarah Tilly. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Richard, Joseph and Grace.  He was the oldest of the five children.1
