John Bawden was born on April 3rd, 1836 in Breage  Leicester  England.1   John Bawden's father was Edward Taylor and his mother was Ann Bawden.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Taylor and Prudence Unknown; his maternal grandparents were William Bawden and Ann Unknown. He had four brothers named Edward Richard, Edwin, William Henry and Alfred.  He was the second youngest of the five children.1
