David was born in 1645.1   David's father was John Steele and his mother was Rachel Talcott.  His paternal grandfather was Richard Steele; his maternal grandparents were John Talcott and Ann Skinner. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, John, Sarah, Mary, Hannah and Lydia.1
