Ada was born in February 1893.  Ada's father was George Sohm and her mother was Ada Unknown.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Sohm and Josephine Unknown. She had two brothers and two sisters, named George, William, Margaret and Grace.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
