Peter was born in 1749 in Frdk Co, Va.1   Peter's father was Lawrence Snapp and his mother was Margaret.  His paternal grandparents were Johannes Schnepf and Barbara. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Lawrence, John, Philip, Joseph, Abraham, Jacob, Margaret, Susannah and Christina.  He died at the age of 40 in 1789 in Shenandoah Co, Va.1
