Christain was born in 1755.1   Christain's father was Johan Frederick Schell and his mother was Maria Barbara Zahe. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Johannes, Adam, Johan Jost, Jacob Frederick, Magdelena and Maria Margaretta.1
