William R. Sawyer 
William R. was born on July 25th, 1888 in Bucksport, Maine.1 William R.'s father was John W. Sawyer and his mother was Minnie Nancy Hutchings. His paternal grandparents were James H. Sawyer and Hannah Mann; his maternal grandparents were James Cooke Hutchings and Emeline Lawrence. He had three brothers and a sister, named Edwin John, Frederick Wesley, Raymond Leslie and Chloe J.. He was the youngest of the five children.1 -
