Jonathan was born about 1650.1   Jonathan's father was Jonathan Rudd and his mother was Mary Metcalf.  His maternal grandparents were Michael Metcalf and Sarah. He had a brother and two sisters, named Nathaniel, Mary and Patience.  He was the second oldest of the four children.1
