Asaph Rice 
Asaph was born on May 9th, 1733.1 Asaph's father was Beriah Rice and his mother was Mary Goodenow. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Rice and Anna Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Goodenow and Sarah Goodenow. He was an only child. He died at the age of 82 on April 30th, 1816.1 General Notes

Rev. Asaph Rice was a missionary to the Indians for a short time. He was ordained on October 16, 1765 as second minister of a Congregational Church in Westminister, Mass for fifty years. He was also a physician. He graduated from Harvard University in 1752. He practiced medicine and practiced a short while at Brookfield "but having had the wrist of his bridle arm broken by his horse falling with him, he was induced to enter the ministry."
