Mary was born in 1618 in of Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts.1   Mary's father was Henry Pinder and her mother was Mary Unknown. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Francis, John, Joanne, Ann and Catherine.  She was the second oldest of the six children.1
