1 James' father was John H. Parker and his mother was Nancy Phillips. His paternal grandparents were William V. Parker and Elizabeth. He had three brothers named Alfred, Thomas and L.D.. He had seven half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William J., Pleasant Madison, Hugh Addison, John H., Robert H., Albert, Willis, Mary, Elizabeth and Tabitha.1 -
