Mary was born on July 18th, 1673.1   Mary's father was Richard Palmer and her mother was Mary Gilbert.  Her paternal grandparents were John Palmer and Ruth Acy; her maternal grandfather was Humphrey Gilbert. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Samuell and Martha.  She was the oldest of the four children.1
