John was born in Whitchurch Canonicorum Co. Dorset England.1 John's father was Thomas Newberry and his mother was Joanne Dabinot. His paternal grandfather was Richard Newberye; his maternal grandparents were John Dabinott and Joanna Collins. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, Thomas, Sarah, Mary, Rebecca, Hannah and Sarah. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Samuel, Abigail, Hepzibah and Esther. He died in December 1647 in Windsor CT..1 -
