Amos was born in 1840.1   Amos' father was Horace Nash and his mother was Mary Beecher.  His paternal grandparents were Abner Nash and Hannah Dickenson. He had a brother, and also a sibling of unknown gender named Morris Dewitt and Emerett E..  He was the oldest of the three children. He had eight half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Amos, Abner W., Eli F., Horace H., George M., George M., Sylvestor, Sylvestor, Roana, Roana and Phylinda.  He died in 1840.1
