Richard was born in 1678 in Westmoreland, Middlesex, Virginia.1   Richard's father was Richard Lee and his mother was Letitia Corbin. He had six brothers and a sister, named Phillip, Francis, Thomas, Henry Henry, Arthur Ferney, John and Ann Mary.  He died at the age of 40 in 1718 in Middlesex, Virginia.1
