Mary was born in 1864.1   Mary's father was George Frederick Kienzle and her mother was Elizabeth Ambrosius.  Her maternal grandparents were Adam Ambrosius and Catherine Bradenstein. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, William, George, Thedore, Frederica and Joanna.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.1
