Philip Jones

Philip was born about 1717 in Mile Square, Westchester, New York.¹ Philip's father was Benjamin Jones and his mother was Mary Valentine. His paternal grandparents were Ebenezer Jones and Mary Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Valentine and Jane. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Ebenezer, Jacob, Benjamin, Joseph, Cornelius, Sarah and Keziah. He was the second youngest of the eight children.¹
